Have you ever read the book Sadako? Sadako is about a girl who has lived when the atom bomb dropped on her city. Until she is eleven, she finds out that she has leukemia from radation. Sadako has to go and live in the hospital because she is very weak and is sick. While Sadako is living in the hospital she decides to make 1000 paper cranes. Sopposevely, this is good luck for her to do because if she reaches 1000, then she can make one wish and it will be granted. Sadako's one wish is to stay alive until she is very old. Sadako is a very good book for kids the age of 8 and up because it is a very easy read, has simple vocabulary, and tells an interesting story about a girl in Japan haveing this deadly disease. The pictures are very detailed and tell a lot about peoples emotions and actions. The print is big and double spaced which makes it even easier to read . The names are hard because they are japenness names, but other that that notthing else is too hard to understand. TITLETOWN
Some people used to discribe Pittsburgh as the smokey, steel city. Now people discribe Pittsburgh as a winning city. Pittsburgh has a great reputation for winning stars. They have a football, baseball, and a hockey team. On ESPN they are doing a speicial on picking a city in the USA that would win TITLETOWN. They nomanated 20 cities and Pittsburgh was one of them. Pittsburgh should receive TITLETOWN because they won five super bowls, two Stanly Cups, and five World Series.
Pittsburgh should receive TITLETOWN because their football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, has won five Super Bowls. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won Super Bowl IX(9), X(10), XIII(13), XIV(14 ), and XL(40). This year the Steelers will be 76 years old. Some of the stars for Super Bowls 9-14 were Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swan, and Franco Harris beccause they each had an MVP award. In Super Bowl XL, there was Jerome Bettis, Hinez Ward who was the MVP, Ben Rothesburgher, Joey Porter, and Troy Polomulo. Everyone knows these names becuase they were the top dogs on the team. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls in history.
Another reason why Pittsburgh should win TITLETOWN is because of their hockey teams records. The Pittsburgh Pengiens have won two Stanley Cups since the beginning of hockey in 1893. They first won in 1991. The Penguines won against the Minnasoda North Stars. The next year,1992, the Penguines won again. The beat the Chicago Blackhawks. The team captain for the Penguins was Mario Lemieux. Mario Lemieux lead Jeff Daniels, Jaromir Jagr, and Ulf Samuelsson to win their two Stanly Cups. This year the Penguin team went all the way to the championship but they lost in game 6 to the Detroit Red Wings. Sidney Crosby, Tyler Kennedy, Evgeni Malin, Jordan Staal, Petr Sykora, Maxime Talbot, Sergei Gonchar, Ryan Whitney, Marc-Andre Fleury, Marian Hossa, George Larock, and Gray Roberts lead the Pens to the Championship. No one on the pens was ever in a championship because they were all so young, but next year the Pens have an even better chance of winning because they know what it feels like.

Some people go to baseball games, or the pool, or just hang out with their friends. Summers are about having fun and relaxing. Summer is olny a couple of months long and there is not a lot of time to do all the fun stuff that you want to do but i did a ton of fun stuff.The three top, best things that hapened this summer would be going to the beach, visiting my aunt, and going white water rafting.
First of all, I went to the beach five days after school was over. The beach that we went to was Stone Harbor, New Jersey. While we were there, the Vaters were also there with their cousins. When we went to the beach, the sand was not too hot but not very cold. The water was very, very cold. The water was 52 degrees. The weather was vety nice, in the 80's and it only rained three times at night. We got ice cream almost every night. Anna got a hairrap and my mom got a troll braclet. The last day we were there we went to Uncle Bill's Pankacke House which was very good.
The next best thing that I did this summer was going to my aunt's house and helping them with their yard sale. My grandma drove me up and the rest of the family didn't come. The yard sale was for two days and they made more than $300. After the yard sale we went to swim at their cousins house. One night my cousin Dominic and I watched Jaws after we went fishing. The next day, Dominic had an ear infection so I stayed inside with him and watched Jaws 2 and Jarasstic Park 3. We went swimming again and had pizza for dinner. The next day we went to Rinky Dink where we went no moter boats and go-carts. After that we went home.
Finally, I went white water rafting which was very fun. I went to laural Highlands and went on the Potonic River. I was in a small raft with four other people. We didn't get off to a good start, but then we got the hang of it. We were able to swim in the water but it was cold and hard to get back into the boat. They gave us lunch which was just sandwhiches. Then we got back in the boats. The entire boat ride was about 4 hours.
The best things that happened to me this summer would be going to the beach, visiting my aunt, and going white water rafting. No matter what you do this summer it has to be fun. Some summer you do nothing at all but sometimes you have something to do every day. I hope that whatever you did this summer was totally radacle!!
